Reports To: IT Manager & ServiceDesk Manager

Summary Job Description: Balsam Technologies is a growing 10 person IT Managed Service Provider based in Gloucester MA seeking full-time IT Support Engineers to perform various types of hardware, software, and cloud service migrations, installations, and implementations for Balsam clients. Clients include various business organizations, municipalities, schools, and not-for-profit agencies. At Balsam, our IT Support Engineers are multi-disciplined in systems, network, and helpdesk engineering and interact directly with our clients.

Responsibilities & Duties:
• Lead or assist with various IT related installations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Lead or assist with various Office 365, and other cloud migrations and implementations.
• Lead or assist with network implementations and Cybersecurity related IT Services.
• Helpdesk support for computers, servers, network equipment, software, etc.
• Accurately document and track technical details on a daily basis.

Key Competencies/Technical Skills: 3+ yrs. Experience
• Preferred IT certifications – Networking, Server/Cloud Platforms, Security
• Microsoft OS Platforms & Microsoft 365 Platforms
• Wired and wireless networking, TCP/IP, VoIP, etc.

Preferred Qualities:
• Excellent problem solving and logical troubleshooting skills
• Good written and oral communication skills & meet deadlines
• High attention to detail while performing tasks and duties
• Teachability and able to recognize when to ask for help from others
• Ability to learn new technology via self-study, training, and hands-on experience
• Enjoy helping people - no problem is considered too small or mundane
• Self-motivated and can be self-directed when necessary
