Landscape/Garden Maintenance Assistant

Schedule: Full-time (32-40 hours/week)
Cuvilly Arts & Earth Center is a ministry of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. We strive to model ecological sustainability, with a focus on building healthy soil systems, sustaining pollinator and wildlife habitats, and pursuing regenerative food growing practices. We are looking for someone to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY:
The landscape/garden maintenance position is responsible for assisting in the upkeep and continued development of the 7-acre Cuvilly campus.

PRIMARY DUTIES (include but are not limited to):

• Routine grounds maintenance; including mowing, weeding, and pruning.
• Compost and paddock maintenance.
• Availability for emergencies that may require snow removal, clearing of fallen
  trees, barn duties, and animal burial.
• Familiarity with operating a tractor (or willingness to learn).
• Maintenance of landscape/farm equipment (will train).
• Attendance at staff meetings as necessary.

• Self-motivated; able to work independently and stay on task.
• Friendly, flexible, and reliable; a team player.
• Comfortable working with adults and farm animals, as well as being around children.
• Ability to sustain outdoor workdays that include moderate physical labor.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
