Description
The First Congregational Church of Rockport invites the public to "Jazz on the Green", a celebration of the completion of the project to restore the iconic church steeple. The event will take place Sunday, September 30 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM on the front lawn of the church at the corner of Main and School Streets in Rockport, or indoors if the weather is unfavorable. Music will be provided by the Old Sloop Jazz Quartet, which consists of vocalist Gary Wood, guitarist Tony Wolff, bassist Dave Landoni, and pianist and trombonist Phil Swanson. Artifacts from the project will be on display in the church, and tours of the steeple will be conducted after the event.
