Wearing All the Hats: Moving from Reactive to Strategic Small Business Leadership
Small business leaders are builders who often build with lean teams and by wearing whatever hat that keeps things moving. Over time, though, that adaptability can turn into chronic overload, blurred responsibilities, and reactive leadership. This interactive workshop equips small business owners and team leaders with practical strategies to strengthen operations, communication, and long-term sustainability using evidence-based frameworks.
This foundational workshop uses real scenarios, facilitated discussion, and actionable reflection to help attendees clarify roles—even in small teams, map their current “hat overload”, reduce friction and decision bottlenecks, apply and simple frameworks to clarify ownership and decision-making. Participants will leave with a concrete, 30-day action plan to implement immediately.
Our Presenter: Courtney Joly-Lowdermilk, M.S.Ed., is the CEO of REACH Leadership, a coaching firm that helps individuals strengthen role clarity to strengthen team relationships, collaboration, and productivity. A published author, researcher, and educational entrepreneur, Courtney has led the implementation of over 20 renowned educational interventions across the country and internationally. She has called the North Shore home for over 18 years, and loves working with local leaders and business owners.
