Plein Air Paint Out and Wet Paint Sale

 

This Paint Out and Wet Paint Sale promises to be a fun, fast-paced plein air painting event. It is open to all artists, professional or amateur aged 18 years or older. Registration along with a $25 registration fee is required. The field is limited to 75 participants on a first-come basis. Participating artists may use any two-dimensional medium (oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, etc). Maximum size of canvas/paper is 16 x 20. Although more than one work may be painted during the event  only one piece may be displayed for judging. Framing of works for the judging, reception and sale is preferred, but not mandatory. No photography or digital media are allowed. Awards for exemplary work will be named by our event judge, Jim Craig, Executive Director of Rockport Art Association and Museum.
 

Registration is open online at www.nsarts.org. If registration is not filled beforehand, additional artists will be accepted by registering on the morning of the competition at North Shore Arts Association.
 

Registration Timeline . . .
Registration ($25) now through August 31 (or until max count is reached) online www.nsarts.org, at the NSAA or by phone 978.283.1857.
 

Event Timeline . . .
- Check-in NSAA 8am-9am (mandatory) to receive your name tag and have substrate stamped.

- Artists paint 9am-1pm at the Gloucester location of their choice.

- Set up of paintings for judging and sale (one per artist) at NSAA 1pm-2pm. All works are to be displayed on an   easel provided by the participating artist.
