Description
A Joe Jencks concert is definitely not a visit to the inner world of some guy with a guitar who wants you to sit still and listen politely. It’s an occasion for singing, a contagious rising up of voices, an act of joy and defiance! Joe Jencks is an 18-year veteran of the international folk circuit, an award-winning songwriter, and celebrated vocalist based in Chicago. He is a founding member of celebrated harmony trio Brother Sun, and has appeared at Old Sloop Coffeehouse three times with that ensemble.
Following a ten year break from music, a career change, and two children, Lisa Bastoni has returned to recording and live performance. In the past year, Lisa has been selected to showcase at the New England Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) conference, as well as the Falcon Ridge and New Song Music/LEAF Festivals. Her song "Rabbit Hole" was grand prize winner of the Great American Song Contest.
Coffee, tea, and a variety of delicious (and very popular) home-made baked pie and cake will be sold before and after the concert and at intermission.
