Description
Join our local history discussion group in the Local History Center led by local history librarian, Julie Travers. Each month we'll have a short presentation and then open it up for discussion.
October Topic - "Memory Recalls The Past": The "Old Timer" Revisits the Gloucester of 1840 in The Gloucester Daily Times of 1900
Visits to Gloucester's neighborhoods by one who lived there, related to some old atlases and photos.
The Gloucester History Exchange: Local History Discussion Group will explore and discuss events and people in Gloucester’s history, particularly those that are not well known. Brief presentations will be made by subject-matter experts, followed by conversations. Anyone with an interest in the past—and its meaning for us today—is welcome to participate.
