Mayor Romeo Theken said, “Our free movie nights are back by popular demand and our movie series is a great way for families to come out and enjoy a film under the stars throughout the summer.”
There will be a movie shown every Wednesday at dusk, from July 24 through August 21. If needed, a rain date is scheduled for Monday, August 26. The big screen will be located at 65 Rogers Street. All attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, friends and family.

- July 24 – Dumbo (presented by BankGloucester)
- July 31 – Never Ending Story (presented by The Sawyer Free Library)
- August 7 – Mary Poppins (presented by Cape Ann Savings Bank)
- August 14 – Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero (presented by Cape Ann Veteran’s Services)
- August 21 – Pirates of the Caribbean (presented by Maritime Gloucester)

The movie series, featuring a combination of classic and new movies for all ages to enjoy, will help promote the HarborWalk as both a civic space and a destination for residents and visitors, promote civic pride, and bring the community together throughout the summer to one of the community’s greatest assets, the working waterfront. These events also drive business downtown, encouraging people to enjoy local restaurants and shops while downtown.
