A docent-led walking tour of downtown Gloucester — includes a complimentary copy of Joseph Garland's recently republished book The Gloucester Guide: A Stroll Through Place and Time ($19.95 retail). As part of the celebratory events leading up to Gloucester’s 400th anniversary, the Cape Ann Museum recently published the fifth edition of the late Joseph E. Garland’s beloved book The Gloucester Guide: A Stroll through Place and Time. The Gloucester Guide tours bring Joe’s words to life as you explore the downtown and waterfront neighborhoods close by the Museum. The Gloucester Guide is available for purchase in the Museum Gift Shop and in local shops. It can also be purchased online here. Guided walking tours are held rain or shine and last about 1½ hours; participants should be comfortable being on their feet for that amount of time.
