DESCRIPTION:Seven Suns Gallery presents "New Works" by Rebecca Anne Nagle & Stephen Bates. \n\nRebecca Anne Nagle is a contemporary painter and mixed media artist. Her new works explore layering and transparency within society and nature. Both movement and emotions emerge from her search for rhythms\, lyricism\, and repetitions in the visual or metaphysical. Her mark-making\, circles and patterns reflect her training as a figure skater. \n\nStephen Bates\, a classically trained musician\, is strongly influenced by the work and creative freedom of Wassily Kandinsky. After many years of viewing and studying\, the artists in the Phillips Collection have been his primary teachers. His new works include wildly colorful mixed media collages and sculptures he considers as three-dimensional painting.
