The performance will be followed by a party to raise a toast for the newly incorporated Cape Ann Guitar Society. The program consists of guitar music and vocals conjuring strange and haunting tales from Turkey\, Spain\, and Gloucester. Brendan Evans and Michael O'Leary are a dynamic duo and bring together worldwide and local knowledge of music and history. As a Classical guitarist\, Brendan Evans has performed\, taught\, and won awards throughout North America and in 13 countries globally. Currently residing in Rockport\, Brendan performs and teaches locally and internationally\, is the founder of the Cape Ann Guitar Society\, and enjoys playing in various groups\, including the original project Nightowls. A Gloucester resident of 34 years\, Michael O'Leary is a singer/collector of Celtic and Maritime songs. He has performed extensively on Cape Ann\, and strives to share the historical/cultural background of songs.
