SUMMARY:Eleanor Roosevelt: The First Lady of the World
DESCRIPTION:After suffering through an unhappy childhood and losing her parents and one of her brothers\, Eleanor Roosevelt figured out where she fit in and where she could make a difference in the world. She grew up and became an American politician - the longest-serving First Lady of the United States.\n\nEleanor was the first presidential spouse to hold press conferences\, write a syndicated newspaper column\, and speak at a national convention. She advocated for expanded roles for women in the workplace\, the civil rights of African Americans and Asian Americans\, and the rights of World War II refugees. Eleanor also became one of the first delegates to The United Nations\, and is considered one of the top ten most admired people of the 20th century.\n\nSheryl Faye attended Emerson College\, in Boston\, where she received a BFA in Acting. She is a full time actress who has traveled across the United States to work.\n\nSheryl currently stars in several one-woman shows that tour schools\, libraries\, and senior centers throughout New England for enrichment programs. She also writes and performs with StageCoach Improv and keeps busy working on films\, television\, and theater throughtout Boston and New York. Sheryl has been the voice for television commercials\, several characters for Sony Play Station games\, and for a variety of medical CD-ROMS.\n\nJoin us for Women's History Month as actress Sheryl Faye portrays Eleanor Roosevelt\, in her youth and as an adult\, in helping us to understand the politician and the woman.
