SUMMARY:Amy Speace at Old Sloop Coffeehouse with Charlee Bianchini
DESCRIPTION:Old Sloop Coffeehouse will present a performance by Amy Speace Friday\, November 17\, at 7:30 PM at the handicap-accessible First Congregational Church of Rockport\, 12 School St.\n\n\n\nAmy Speace deserves to be much better known. She was discovered by legend Judy Collins and signed to Collins' record label\, and her eight CDs have received critical acclaim and widespread airplay. She has been praised by such diverse legends as Guy Clark\, Nanci Griffith\, Ian Hunter and Alejandro Escovedo. Her crystal clear voice has an emotional catch and a fluttering vibrato that seems grounded in another era yet somehow speaks to this one.\n\n\n\nCharlee Bianchini has been a professional musician for over six years. When she's not performing\, Charlee teaches independent lessons and workshops at The Music Asylum\, a music school in Essex\, MA.\n\n\n\nCoffee\, tea\, and a variety of delicious (and very popular) home-made baked pie and cake will be sold before and after the concert and at intermission
